SAINT SYMPHORIEN STADIUM, METZ

ONGOING PROJECT

Phase 1 completion date: End 2022.

Phase 2 completion date : End 2024.

The renovation of the famous Saint-Symphorien stadium in Metz, France is a very ambitious large-scale project. iLight has been entrusted with the lighting of the south wing to give a futuristic twist to the project.

In 2019 the architecture firm MORENO in Luxembourg mandated iLight for the concept & design of the lighting for the renovation of the Saint-Symphorien stadium in Metz.
In a first phase and by August 2020, the southern stand will be completely demolished and rebuilt.  More than 8000m2 will be fitted out for both players (Level 0) and the public (Levels 1 and 2) where many areas will be created for VIPs (Bars/Restaurant/Loges ...).
A huge interior street of more than 1600m2 will be the crossroads giving access to all these spaces.
In the interior street will be arranged a complex play of lights that can be very dynamic on match days, and very architectural in off-match configurations.

A major emphasis will also be reserved for the VIPs and player entrances. There is no doubt that the F.C. Metz will thus be equipped with a remarkable working tool for next season.

Phase 2 will consist of the "connection" of the 4 currently isolated stands and a structure enveloping the 4 stands, providing maximum visibility to the new stadium which will take place in 2024.
